Acupuncture is also effective for problems such as Raynaud’s disease, MS(Multiple Sclerosis) or fibromyalgia for which there is no certain treatment. Please try acupuncture, if you have a problem that has no certain treatment.
In acupuncture, one method involves passing electrical currents through the needles, which can awaken dormant nerves.
We will be closed during New Years week, and will reopen on Thursday 4th of January.
We wish you all a very Merry Christmas, and hope you have a nice New Year’s break!

These conditions are partly caused by imbalanced hormones.
Recently, there has been an increase in patients visiting us for these conditions.
Acupuncture is able to help to improve hormones and patients have experienced symptom relief through acupuncture. They are starting with weekly sessions, some patients now visit once a month as their symptoms have improved.
One of our client who comes Kaiapoi Acupuncture was suffering from arthritis and couldn’t even bend due to the condition.
However, after receiving acupuncture treatment just once, her mobility improved. After continuing with several more sessions, she was able to bend and even do gardening.
Acupuncture works is that it stimulates the nervous system to release natural pain-relieving chemicals in the body, such as endorphins. Acupuncture may also help to reduce inflammation and improve blood flow, which could contribute to its effectiveness in treating migraines.
Tinnitus is a ringing sound in your ears that other people can’t hear, usually caused by high stress level, exposure to loud sounds, head injuries etc.
Acupuncture can help tinnitus by placing tiny needles on pressure points around your ears. By doing this, it will encourage better, smoother blood flow in your ears.
This treatment will not only help tinnitus, but will also reduce stress levels and anxiety as pressure points on your ears can calm your mind and balance your body.
One of my patient’s left arm and leg got paralyzed caused by stroke, preventing her from walking. She tried acupuncture twice a week. It took a while, but her leg finally started moving!
She is currently under a rehab training practicing to stand up and walk with her own strength!
Acupuncture improves blood flow, immunity, adjusts various hormonal functions, relieves pain etc, by actively stimulating the autonomic nerve system, immune system, and various hormones. Hence, we are able to feel the improvement after a couple of sessions, depending on the level of severity of our health conditions.
